how to bathe in love

We all need to practice self-love from time to time to keep our mind, body, and soul in balance. Once these connections are understood and nurtured, you will begin to experience a peaceful state of mind.

First of all, it is important to know that you are a beautiful spiritual being, unique in your own way. You have to truly believe that you are capable of giving the kind of love that you want to have, as well as receiving the love that your heart really longs for. For some, especially the strong and fiercely independent (SAFI) woman, this will be a difficult hurdle to overcome, but it is something that must be overcome in order to take positive steps forward.

Let’s take a few moments to explore your mind, body and soul:

one. Your mind. To learn to love yourself you need to become a master of your OWN mind ~ not someone else’s… but your own! This can become one of the most difficult tasks. Negative thinking tends to crop up in some form or fashion every day; however, it is your job to identify the source and reprogram this thought pattern.

  • Addictions. They can range from seemingly harmless problems to serious interruptions in life. To start treating yourself well, you need to master your addictions, both hard and soft. This could mean monitoring what goes into your body, or keeping track of the time you spend in front of the TV, shopping, or computer.
  • Personal development. The idea of working by taking time to really get in touch with your truth; acknowledging and accepting them ALL will help you connect with the power of positive thinking. It can be as simple as starting your day with a positive thought and letting it resonate with you through the night. There are many books and resources that can help you discover the “glass half full” mindset. One I would recommend is “Heal Heart and Soul with Unconditional Love… 5 Minutes a Day.”
  • Relations. Your relationships play an important role in how you judge your self-esteem. Learning to identify the spirit of the person Image is right for you can be challenging. Additionally, learning to set healthy boundaries can have long-lasting transformative effects. You need to surround yourself with positive people and make the best of all situations. two. Your body. Maintaining a healthy body is just as important as maintaining a healthy mind. When you focus on your health, you gain energy, focus and happiness.

  • Exercise/Nutrition. If you make a moderate exercise routine part of your day, it might be enough to maintain a great body image. You can make this as simple as parking further away from the building; taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking vs. driving etc. If you have weight to lose, you may want to follow a more rigorous routine after speaking with a health professional. An interesting program that was very helpful and instrumental in making the right food choices was “Clean” by Dr. Alejandro Junger. Go to the link for more information. Remember, eating a healthy diet will fill you with energy and keep you feeling good throughout the day. Strive to eat a balanced diet, but don’t feel bad if you slip from time to time. No one is perfect… so be kind to yourself!

3. Your soul. Your soul or spirit is your life force. Your soul is where you find your peace and deeper purpose.

  • Religion. Chances are your personal religion addresses questions and answers when it comes to your soul. Practicing your religion will help you strengthen your soul. If you don’t have a religion, you can still participate in activities that you find peaceful and meaningful.
  • Spirituality. If you don’t have a religion, you can still participate in activities that you find peaceful and meaningful. What do you do to connect with your higher power, your “God source”? Whatever it is, make sure you do it often. You’d be surprised how much better you feel.
  • Lightning. This is often described as a breakthrough moment where you find out something about your inner self or about the world and how it works, kind of like your Oprah “Ah-ha moment.” You could read and write about it endlessly, but you can only continue to live your life to experience it. Yoga

One activity to consider is yoga. It is an ancient practice that connects the mind, body and spirit. During a yoga session, you will go through different postures and meditation exercises. During this connection of mind and body, you may also experience an inner calm. I’m still working on this… I’ll keep you posted on how things go.
