Breckenridge, Colorado is a quaint and historic town nestled in the Colorado mountains. It also happens to be one of the most popular ski destinations in the state. Although its residential population is well below 10,000, this number multiplies exponentially during the ski season. The view from your window to the snow-capped mountains can bring you inner peace long before the masseuse arrives for your in-room massage. If you decide to leave the refuge of your hotel in the mountains to do some skiing, there is a complimentary shuttle service to and from the base of the slopes.

4 O’clock is another Breckenridge district that is very close to one of the lifts that take skiers up the mountain. Most accommodation options around 4 o’clock are hostels, which are similar to standard hotels but can offer a more rustic appeal. Others are very basic but offer a great location, being just steps from the chairlift and having ski-in/ski-out units. Others are townhouse clusters with many of the same features as the lodges, but can accommodate more guests in one unit and also offer multiple bathrooms and a full kitchen in each unit.

Breckenridge may be small, but it more than makes up for its size by offering a wide range of possibilities when it comes to lodging. Breckenridge vacation rentals can be had for just a few nights or even a few weeks. For the true skier, a location closer to the slopes with easy access to the nearest cable car is probably the way to go. However, he may also want to choose a place that’s centrally located to everything, since Breckenridge’s attractions are so much more than snow-capped mountains.
