Eating to lose weight – How to lose weight successfully

To be blunt, weight loss is really about calories in and calories out. How many calories do you eat and how many calories do you burn? Most of us who are overweight have unbalanced it. We eat more calories than we burn. The result is that the energy we consume that we don’t use is stored as fat.

Eating to lose weight – How to lose weight successfully

I recently met someone who had a long-term weight problem. Gradually, over time, she educated herself on what foods she should eat and what she should avoid. She had a very healthy diet, but it was absolutely impossible for her to lose weight. Her conclusion was that her problem was in her genes. She was always destined to be overweight. There was nothing that could be done to help her.

When asked how many calories he ate every day, he presented a very detailed list that amounted to just over 1,600 calories. With this kind of diet, there was no way she would be overweight, especially since she had been eating this way for some time.

To get to the bottom of the problem, a blood sample was taken and analyzed to find out how many calories he consumed daily. The result was terrifying. She wasn’t consuming 1,600 calories, she was consuming 3,500 calories. Her overweight problem had nothing to do with her genes, but rather with the fact that her portion sizes were too large. The food she was eating was good healthy food. The amount she was eating was disastrous.

Once he started eating the right amount of food, he started losing weight. This just goes to show how important it is to get your portion sizes right. In almost all cases, we eat too much. Eating to lose weight starts with portion control. If you do it right, it will be much easier to lose weight.
