Is action the cure for fear?

How much do you know about fear? In dictionary terms, it means a distressing emotion triggered by impending danger, pain, worry, or anxiety. In simple terms, it can prevent us from doing the things we want to, as we view it in all negative terms.

May I ask what are the things in life that you fear? Are you afraid of losing someone like your loved ones, spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend, children or your own life / health? Or are you afraid of losing something like your business, money, property, or valuable items? It could also be your own pride, integrity, directions, meaning, purpose, or career.

Fear usually comes from the unknown of consequences. Normally we don’t know what will happen if we do this or that. That is why education is one of the ways to reduce fear. By educating ourselves, we can understand what we are up against. However, it can also increase our fear by knowing too much that we are more scared.

Actually, the only way to cure fear is action. Whenever there is something that scares you, remember to keep going by taking massive steps to overcome it. Action brings spiritual growth, experience, wealth and success from fear. Fear is the opportunity to act.

I read of The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz. In his book he relates that during World War II, the Navy had to teach its sailor to swim. Sailors must jump from a board two meters high. He saw fear on the faces of the sailors when they were asked to jump off the board. On more than one occasion, the sailors were “accidentally” pushed off the board. When interviewed, many ex-Army men illustrate that action cures fear. Indecision, postponement, on the other hand, fertilized fear.

In an interview with Will Smith he said: “Attack your fears. You have to be motivated by Fear. You have to attack your fears.” Normally, the fear that we think about is VERY BIG, because we magnify them in our head, because we are focusing on the fear that is when we get scared. Once you’ve gathered your courage and taken action on it, it’s not as scary as you imagined. After you’ve done it once, it’s easier the next time.

Take massive action against your fears, instead of wasting your time and energy being afraid, use that energy to be constructive. There is nothing impossible. You can do it! What is stopping you now? Any !! AH OR !!
