  • To make these Games memorable, the Indian government has adopted security methods similar to those used at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Games Village and other Games venues in Delhi are constantly under tight surveillance.
  • The government has prepared an action plan to establish an integrated security system (ISS) to cover all competition, training and non-competition venues and provide foolproof security for the Commonwealth to be held in the national capital in October 2010. It would cost around 370 crores.
  • The Indian government has also formed an international security liaison group that includes representatives from various central security agencies, the Delhi Police, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of External Affairs in liaison with security administrators from all participating countries. in the games.
  • Special monitoring equipment such as electronic surveillance, CCTV, X-ray baggage scanner, etc. are placed. in the important places, to control any kind of disturbance and problem.
  • Even other Indian states have also tightened their security and tourists are likely to visit them during the Common Wealth Games. These Indian states have deployed a “tourist police” force long before the Games begin. Other states in India are likely to follow this plan as well.
