Two Energetic Pastimes for the Benefit of your Physical, Mental Emotional Well-being

People like to be active, whether it’s jumping around in their backyard or snowboarding down some incredible slope on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It gives them interest, whether alone or with other people, and keeps their body healthy. So what are two energetic hobbies that benefit your physical and emotional well-being?

1. Sport:

Playing a sport is great for fitness, competition and socialising, whether it’s a great team sport like rugby or netball or more of an individual sport like tennis or squash. There are many sports to choose from as you have seen in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. The choice will narrow down based on what’s available where you live and, of course, your interest in big team or more individual sports. Let’s take golf as an example. You can play this game by competing by yourself or you can join others and be part of a team, for example four players. It’s a great sport to be outside and get some fresh air, play a round of 18 holes with a group of friends, and then have a social chat in the clubrooms. You can also have a great time touring the many golf courses in the world. There’s nothing like a game of tropical golf in the sun!

2. working out:

How does a dance class followed by a Sudoku puzzle sound? These are two ways you can exercise your body. The former exercises your muscles and helps with your fitness and the latter exercises your brain and helps stimulate the mind. Exercise is important as part of your overall health and emotional well-being.

People feel good after exercise and find that it helps with overall energy levels. There are many ways to exercise from doing chores, walking or running around the block, weights and aerobics at the gym, and any form of dance and sports.

People also feel great and have a sense of accomplishment when they have completed a puzzle, such as Sudoku. There are also other ways to stimulate the mind, such as playing memory games with children. It’s great to relax in the bath or in bed with a puzzle or two as an alternative to reading a novel. And what better than a physical exercise session followed by a mental exercise session?

So here you have it, the choice is yours. All you need to do is decide on a sport, stay in shape, and then play some mind games for the benefit of your mind.
