So what is a divaentrepreneur anyway?
My friend, Leesa Barnes has started a new network on ryze called Divapreneurs At Work located at
http://daw-network.ryze.com/ He asked us to define a divapreneur. Now that I am the prolific article writer that I am, I couldn’t answer this question without writing an article about it. sit down and become
rambled!
First of all, Divapreneur is a combination of the words diva and entrepreneur. To define divaentrepreneur
First we need to define diva and entrepreneur. To do this I went to Wikipedia.
This is what I found out from Wikipedia:
Most used definition of diva
A Diva was originally a distinguished opera singer, but now generally refers to a popular female performer of non-operatic works.
The term derives from an Italian word meaning “goddess”, which, in turn, derives from the feminine form of a Latin word divus, meaning “divine”.
This definition is found on the following page:

I felt that the distinction of being a singer left out some non-musical talented ladies, so I decided to use this definition of diva instead:
# In current usage among the younger generation, the term diva is used to describe a confident and talented woman. This definition is found on the next page.

Now is the time to define entrepreneur, the second part of this word. This definition also comes from Wikipedia.
Entrepreneur
Entrepreneur is a loan word from the French language that refers to a person who starts and operates a new company,
and assumes some responsibility for the inherent risks.
Business entrepreneurs often have strong beliefs about a market opportunity and are willing to accept a high level of personal, professional, or financial risk to take advantage of that opportunity.
So, a divaentrepreneur is a talented and self-confident woman, who starts and operates a new company,
and assumes some responsibility for the inherent risks.
Well, I guess that makes me a divaentrepreneur. And you?
